Isabella got Bit at Daycare Yesterday!!!
I go to pick her up from daycare yesterday, and I am told that a 10 month old bit Isabella. The infant room age range is 6 weeks to 1 year. They say that they gave her some TLC (whatever), and there solution is to separate the 2 children for now. They blamed it on teething, but there could be many reasons for biting. I do understand that a 10 month old doesn't know any better, but why was a teacher not on the floor with them. That would have prevented the whole incident. I was more concerned with Isabella yesterday so I didn't ask many questions, but now I have questions. What exactly does separating the children mean? Does that mean sticking Isabella in her crib all day? She definitely doesn't deserve that, she did nothing wrong. And she needs that floor time, it is important for her development. Now I am concerned that because I have a "good baby" that maybe she isn't getting as much attention as other kids. Tony and I have decided to make an appointment with the director of the daycare to clear up these issues. Also, thanks to Traci's suggestion, we have documented this incident with pictures in the event that it happens again in the future. I hope that we can work this all out in the meeting, because the care of Isabella is the most important thing to me.
