Cute Comics!!

My friend Christy found this in a Tennessee newspaper when she was evacuated for Hurricane Katrina. This is so me!! Just thought that I would share it.

I know that I haven't posted much lately, but I don't have much going on these days. I go to work, come home, and on most days I go to the gym or at least try to. I am trying to unload a couple of pounds, especially with the holiday's coming up, I need to get some good habits in place.

Work is getting more and more normal by the day. I am starting to get busy again and I am glad. My coworker Katie's last week was this week, and I miss her!!! (Not just because I have more work to do either!!) Today Tony told the dirty contractors that are putting down the tile and carpet at work something for making nasty comments about the women at work! Now maybe they will leave us alone!!!!

This weekend we have a Halloween party tonight, and tomorrow we are going shopping in Baton Rouge. It is ashame that you have to go that far to find everything that you are looking for!! The mall here in Slidell has been open for a couple of weeks, but all of the stores are not open (Of course the one that I really want to go to is one of the ones not open!).

The Creatures of MPT

This week we have found this possum in one of the trash cans, and the racoon in the dumpster. Why do these creatures hang out in the trash can? (Just for the record I was not the one that discovered either of these animals, I do not make a habit of looking inside trash cans!) One of the guys at work opened the dumpster door to free the racoon, and he just went running. They didn't free the possum at least not while I was around. He was cute, but that thing has some serious teeth and I wasn't about to take any chances of him wanting to sink those teeth into me. Just in case you were wondering, my work is in the middle of nowhere and there are lots of woods around which is where all of these creatures come from. We even had a deer come by for a while, and he was so friendly you could walk right up to him and pet him. We nicknamed him PJ, but we haven't seen him post Katrina, I hope he is OK.

New Hair Do

Just a quick post to show off my new hair!!! I went 2 weekends ago to get my bad fantastic sam's hair cut fixed and this is how short I had to cut it!! I do like it though. I have to mention the color to, my friend Tegan, who just finished cosmotology school, colored my hair brown this past weekend. It is definitely different than what I am used to but I like it, it's growing on me!!!
