My baby is growing up too fast!!

On friday Isabella will be 7 months old. Where did the time go. If you can get her to let you look at her gums you can see 4 teeth waiting to break through. Two on the bottom and two on the top. The ones on the bottom are going to break through first though you can feel the bumps on her gums where those 2 are. I learned again yesterday that I love the hylands teething tablets. Isabella was screaming at a birthday party we went to and I could not calm her down. She was really tired and I guess her teeth were hurting her so she couldn't sleep. I popped a few of those in her mouth, and she instantly calmed down, and I rocked her a little bit and she fell right asleep. Those things work wonders. The combination of teething and another ear infection made her cranky. I took her to the doctor on Saturday and they gave her the antibiotic shot (forgot the name) since the augmentin didn't work, and we are going to be taking her on an airplane on friday. I have to go back and see her dr this afternoon. The dr we saw on saturday started talking about tubes, so I know it is coming sooner or later. That horrible shot gave her a diaper rash so now we are dealing with that. It doesn't help at all that daycare won't put diaper rash cream on her butt!!

We are flying to Las Vegas on friday, so I really hope that she is feeling better by then. We are going to have so much fun. I will post lots of pictures when we get back.

Oh the Joys of Motherhood!!!

I randomly wonder what it is that I used to do before Isabella was born. I just can't imagine what I used to do with all of that free time. My poor baby has been having a head cold for 2 weeks now. When she wakes up in the morning she has so much mucous in her tummy. I have been giving her cereal first, and up until 3 days ago that was working great to keep the food down in the morning. Well it is not working anymore. This morning I got a mixture of mucous, oatmeal with bananas, and formula thrown up all over me. So I drop Isabella off at daycare, and I get about halfway to work and I feel my hair. Apparently I got some of that wonderful throw up in my hair and on the side of my face. I scrubbed it the best that I could in the bathroom when I got to work this morning, but that part of my hair is still a little crunchy. I don't think it is that noticable, or at least I hope it isn't. This is worse than the time that I got spit up on my boob and didn't realize it until I got to work, at least that was only a little bit. And you know no one ever tells you about these things! Ha ha, I just found more under my chin. I guess I was more concerned with getting Isabella cleaned up!!

Isabella got Bit at Daycare Yesterday!!!

I go to pick her up from daycare yesterday, and I am told that a 10 month old bit Isabella. The infant room age range is 6 weeks to 1 year. They say that they gave her some TLC (whatever), and there solution is to separate the 2 children for now. They blamed it on teething, but there could be many reasons for biting. I do understand that a 10 month old doesn't know any better, but why was a teacher not on the floor with them. That would have prevented the whole incident. I was more concerned with Isabella yesterday so I didn't ask many questions, but now I have questions. What exactly does separating the children mean? Does that mean sticking Isabella in her crib all day? She definitely doesn't deserve that, she did nothing wrong. And she needs that floor time, it is important for her development. Now I am concerned that because I have a "good baby" that maybe she isn't getting as much attention as other kids. Tony and I have decided to make an appointment with the director of the daycare to clear up these issues. Also, thanks to Traci's suggestion, we have documented this incident with pictures in the event that it happens again in the future. I hope that we can work this all out in the meeting, because the care of Isabella is the most important thing to me.

Stranded at Walmart

Saturday, I went to walmart with Ms. Jane and Isabella. Well we were getting some pictures, and that took a while because one of us had to entertain Isabella while the other one dealt with the pictures. That took about 30 minutes. At this point Isabella was starting to get cranky, so I went and got her bottle out of the car. She ate a little but she was fighting it because it wasn't warm. Ms. Jane went sat down up front with Isabella while I tried to hurry up and grocery shop. So I finish up, and I check out. Then I went back to the photo department to pick up our pictures. At this point the sky opened up, it was storming. The wind was blowing the rain sideways into the front doors of walmart, so I had no choice but to wait it out. One hour later, I have Isabella sitting on my lap, and there is suddenly pee running down my leg. Her diaper bag is in the car (makes me feel like such a bad mommy). Thankfully the rain was starting to slack off. So I ran around walmart exchanging my frozen food. Then I went got the car. I gave Ms. Jane the diaper bag and she changed Isabella while I loaded up the food in the car.

It was a miserable experience, but overall Isabella handled it really well. She really didn't complain at all.

Isabella's 6 Month Pictures

She is such a ham! I love the naked pictures, but then again I love them all. I know that I have shared these with a lot of people but I just thought that I would put them out there anyway! Plus they just make me smile. I have been thinking and I know that she is only 6 months old, but I just don't remember what life was like before Isabella. I can't imagine life without her. I am a lot busier, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I just love her so much.
