Plumbing Drama

Sunday morning I was washing clothes and when the washing machine drained, I heard this gurgling sound in all of the drains. I had never heard this before but it really concerned me. Well I continued with my laundry, because I had no clue what the problem was. Later that morning I was cleaning out the cabinet in our bathroom (because Tony was taking out the cabinet on sunday). We ordered new cabinets and are doing some painting and putting down tile in there. I stood up and my pants were wet! Come to find out we were having drainage problems. The toilet is off in our bathroom so there is just a hole in the floor where the toilet used to be, and this is where the water was coming from. Well I had lunch plans on Sunday, so I just left it alone. When I came home we tried it out to see how the drain was working. Water came up when we ran the shower, drained the washing machine, and flushed the toilet (and I didn't even want to try the dishwasher!). We spent Sunday and Monday night at my dad's house. I tried to convince the water company that this was there problem, because I wash clothes all the time and I have never had a problem before, but they really just refused to do anything. Tuesday I finally broke down and called a plumber and he used the snake thing and fixed the drain. It ended up just being a clog somewhere. They charge a fortune though. The guy was only at our house for 30 minutes and it cost $150. It could have been a lot worse, and to be able to be at our house it was worth it, but really that's like $300 an hour!! Maybe I should have been a plumber!!!

Exitement at Work

Yesterday, one of the girls at work noticed a baby alligator in one of the ditches at work. It was about 18 inches long and he was kind of cute! We lured him out of the drain hole with a hotdog tied to a string (oh, and when I say we, I mean that I was just taking the pictures and I had nothing to do with touching this thing). They flung him out of the ditch with a shovel. Threw a towel on to him and used the shovel to get him to stay still under the towel. Someone found a box, so they led him into the box and one of the guys at work took him somewhere offsite. That's enough exitement for me for one day!

Danny's Kindergarten Graduation

Thursday night was my nephew Danny's kindergarten graduation. It was adorable!! Each class did a little performance. Danny's class did a song about animals and Danny got the part of the Nutria. I just had to share these pictures.
