Ok I am back

It seems that I have neglected my blog in the past few months. My girls are doing great. Isabella is a good big sister, she loves her sister so much, and she wants to be right next to Aubrey helping her play. It is really so sweet. Aubrey has gotten so big. She is 4 months old now. Her well check is tomorrow, so we get to see just how big she has gotten. She rolls, and she loves sleeping on her tummy. She has started eating veggies, here is a video of her eating squash for the first time. I also added some recent pictures of the girls, enjoy. I will try to get back in to the swing of things and keep this blog updated regularly.

Yes I am still Pregnant!

As much as I wish I could answer it differently, Yes I am still pregnant. 6 days until my due date. I never thought I would make it this far considering that Isabella was 2 weeks early. I am miserable, but I am doing ok. My contractions are not regular, although they have become more frequent and more painful. There were several times this weekend when I thought maybe this was the beginning of labor, but after drinking plenty of water and resting, the contractions always seem to go away.

My house is cleaner than it has been in a long time!! I cleaned the cabinets with some help from Tony (who fussed at me for climbing my step ladder, but how else am I supposed to get things from the top shelf?), I was compelled to get all of the dust bunnies from under my bed, I cleaned the floors, and I couldn't stop myself from getting down on my hands and knees to clean the baseboards. I am so ready!!

Last night Tony asked Isabella where Aubrey was going to sleep, and she decided that she was going to sleep in Isabella's bed. Oh man am I in trouble!!!

17 days and counting!

Until my due date, that is. I had my oh so fun weekly dr. appointment yesterday. I am dialated between 2 and 3 centimeters. I have been making a little progress each week. I think reality hit Tony a little sooner than it hit me. But I am slowly starting to get why he doesn't want to go anywhere this weekend. LOL!! I guess yesterday after my exam, I realized that I could have this baby any day, or I could be pregnant for 3 more weeks. I wish it was easier to predict. I guess I need to work on my patience, the end is near.

Happy New Year!!

Wow, I can't believe it is 2009 already!! I guess time flies when your having fun right. We had a great holiday, and I have been thinking a lot about all of the blessings in our lives. We have one beautiful, healthy daugther, and soon we will have another. We are healthy, we have lots of family and friends. Overall, I think we are very blessed.
Christmas was great, we did some running around before and after christmas, but we stayed home and the family came to us on christmas day, and it was nice to have them all over at the house.
I am big as a house these days. Less than 6 weeks to go until my due date. My mom and Tony keep saying that I am not going to make it that far, but we shall see. Just because Isabella was an early bird doesn't mean this one will be. She has a name. She will be Aubrey Lucille. Lucille is Tony's grandmother's name, and we thought it was appropriate because Isabella's middle name is my grandmother's name.
I can't wait to see what 2009 brings!!

Baby Cavallo #2

The last picture is my personal favorite. We didn't get as good of pictures as we did with Isabella because this girl is in a funky position and she is deeper down than Isabella was. She is breech at the moment, so we are hoping that she turns around soon because I so don't want a c-section, but there is still time for her to turn. I have another ultrasound at the dr office next week, so we will see what he has to say about my breech baby. Just thought I would share pics of her. I can't wait until february to meet her.

Isabella's Surgery

Isabella had surgery on Thursday to have new tubes put in and have her adenoids removed. Surgery was about 30 minutes. The dr said that the old tubes were stuck to her ear drum. She was crabby a little bit on thursday, understandably, but by friday, she was back to normal. I have already noticed that she doesn't snore hardly at all anymore, and she was snoring pretty good because her adenoids were pretty swollen, and she seems to be sleeping more soundly, and waking in a better mood. So I am glad we had it done, but I am so glad it is over with, and I hope this is the last surgery I have to go through with Isabella for a long long time!!!! She is such a trooper, I am so proud of that girl.

Isabella's Bday party Pictures

Sorry I have been a slacker at keeping up with this. I will try to do better. The first picture is Isabella and her cousin Danny after the party was over. They are so sweet together. I think I need an 8 year old around the house more often!!

I am so proud!!

I didn't know she knew her abc's, they work on them at daycare, but we don't regularly practice at home (bad mommy), but we will start now. We were putting her to bed and she wanted to sing the abc song, so we did, and she danced along. So I decided to see if she would repeat the letters after me and she did, all the way up until y when she layed down and wanted to go to sleep. I am so proud of my girl. My favorite letter was k which she repeated as cake (am I raising her right or what, LOL). W was also cute she said double do with so much enthusiasm, you could tell that one was her favorite!!! I guess it is time to take the abc magnets out of the attic!!!

Where did my baby go?

Last night we switched Isabella's crib to a toddler bed. I was expecting her to put up a fight, but she didn't really. We got a little whining for Mommy and Daddy, and we could tell that she got out of bed, but within about 10 minutes she had fallen asleep. Above is a picture of her in her new big girl bed. She slept great in it all night long!!!

My Ultrasound was Today!!!

I won't even talk about weight gain, lets just say it wasn't good!!! Well as I have been telling Tony for several weeks, it looks like Isabella is getting a little sister!!! We are so excited!! The dr. said that the baby looks healthy, and everything looks normal. We got some ultrasound pictures that I will try to scan and put up later. I know I won't need much with having another girl, but somehow I still have a mad urge to go shopping, and I just might do that!! Every child needs a few things that are brand new right!!!
We are taking Isabella tomorrow for her ears to be rechecked. She has been a major crab lately, and I am thinking that this ear infection has a lot to do with it. The pediatrician thinks one of her tubes has either fallen out or is starting to come out, and that's probably why she is getting the ear infections. If she starts to get cronic ear infections again, than we are headed back to the ENT for more tubes and possibly to have her adenoids removed. Yikes!

Isabella funny (I just had to share)!!

Tony didn't find this nearly as funny as I did. Well Isabella likes to kiss the baby by blowing raspberries on my belly. She every so often asks. Well saturday we were getting snowballs, and Isabella looked at me and smiled and said mommy baby, and started to lift up my dress to get to my belly. Well since I had a dress on I quickly held it down and told her that we couldn't do that because mommy had a dress on. So she thought about this for a minute, and then looked over at Tony reached for his shirt and said daddy baby and proceded to blow raspberries on his belly. I was crying laughing!!! Kids do say the darndest things!!

Update on us!!

We got home from our evacuation Wednesday, to no power, but the power came back on about 2 hours after we got home, so yipee. I have been cooking like a mad woman so that I could save the little bit of food that did not have to be thrown away.
I had a dr appointment on thursday, and since there was no daycare last week, I had to take Isabella with me. Thankfully Tony took off to come and help me with her, because it is kind of hard to keep her from tearing the place up while the dr is in the room. Baby is fine, strong heartbeat. I gain 6 lbs in 4 weeks, but I blame a lot of that on the evacuation. That puts me up 5lbs, because I was down 1 lb as of my last appt. I need to be more careful about what I eat.
Yesterday, I got Isabella from her nap, and the first thing she said to me was uh oh. Then she started searching around her crib. She picked up her diaper and handed it to me. Thankfully she hadn't gone to the bathroom since she took it off, so no mess, but that will be the last time I put her down without something covering her diaper!! Little Stinker!

Battle over the Ear Plugs

Yesterday, I decided to take Isabella into the shower with me. I put her plugs in her ears so that she wouldn't get water in them (I usually don't do this when she takes a bath). Well I get us both clean, and then I stopper up the tub and let some water collect, so that she can play. I turn off the shower. Then I take the ear plugs out of her ears. She cried, she wanted them back in. So I dried them off the best I could and put them back in her ears, and she played in the tub. It is quite funny actually, she is so loud with the plugs in her ears. Well when she was done, and it was time to pick up the ear plugs for good, you would have thought the world was ending. She was so upset. That is so not the ear plug battle I expected. Silly girl!

Doctor Appointment Update, and and Isabella Pic

This my little cheeseball in the bath tub. Whenever she sees the camera she says cheese and makes this face.
Dr. Appointment Update
It was a fairly uneventful appointment yesterday. I stepped on the scale, peed in a cup, and then the dr came and I got to listen to baby's heartbeat for all of 3 seconds and then he moved (by the way, I don't like calling the baby it, so I alternate calling the baby he and she, Tony thinks I am nuts). The baby's heartbeat is 160 bpm, which is very good. I am still down one pound from my first appointment 8 weeks ago. Which is a change I was up 6 lbs by this point in my last pregnancy, so hopefully I can keep it to 25 lbs this time, because that is what came off easy with Isabella. I have to wait until 2 appointments from now for my next ultrasound, so it looks like 8 more weeks until I get to see my peanut again, but atleast hearing the heartbeat is reasuring. Overall, I think I prefer an uneventful appointment!!

The Pursuit of Lovie

Oh what a trip to walmart yesterday. Isabella and I went and she insisted on bringing Lovie in the store with us, he goes almost everywhere she does (except daycare). Lovie is one of those little blankets with a bunny head on it. Well I shop, check out, load up the car, and head home from the store. As soon as I walk through the door I realize that Lovie didn't make the trip home with us. So I quickly unloaded the car and handed Isabella off to Tony, and left him the groceries to pick up while I got back to walmart as fast as I could. So here I am speed walking up and down the aisles of walmart, retracing my footsteps. I must have looked like a nut. But finally I breathed a huge sigh of relief when I saw him laying on the floor in the clothing section right where she threw a fit because she wanted that light up cat shirt. This is the one animal that she sleeps with everynight, what a mess if he had been lost forever. Ok if 2 years ago anyone had told me that this is what I would do for a stuffed animal, I would have told them they were lying.
On a different note, 6 days until I can take my zyrtec again, second trimester here I come!! And 3 days until my dr appoinment, I can't wait to here the peanut's heartbeat.

Surprise!!!

I am pregnant!! The first pic is baby Cavallo #2 and the second pic is of the way we let Isabella break the news to her grandparents, with her big sister t-shirt. I am due February 15th. This pregnancy is harder on me than the first one was. The morning sickness is much worse, and I am tired all the time, but I think part of that is that last time I didn't have a toddler to chase around. We are very happy, and I am counting the days until the first trimester is over!!

The Circus was Eventful to Say the Least

Isabella woke up from her nap and I packed some lunch for her to eat in the car. Well she refused to eat or drink anything. Well I snuck her food into the circus incase she got hungry later. Well she was great for the first 15 minutes and then she started screaming. She wanted nothing but to be held by me, and I had to be standing up. This went on for about an hour, until I couldn't hold her anymore. Then Tony took her (he tried to take her several times, but she wanted nothing to do with him). Finally I got an idea, and I went get some french fries (horrible maybe, but when she will eat nothing else she will eat french fries). She ate some, and then drank her milk and then she was happy and got down and played and watched the rest of the circus!! So in the end it wasn't all bad.

I am such a Cheeseball!!!!!!!!

All I have to say is NKOTB!!! I know I will probably be made fun of for this, but I am going to post it anyway. I dvr'd them when they came on the today show a few weeks back, and something about watching them makes me feel like that 12 year old girl all over again. It is one of those things where I want to see, but really don't want anyone to see me see them. Well Tony came home a couple days ago and told me that they are coming to New Orleans, and I so want to go. Tony has been laughing at me, but he refuses to go with me, and to be honest I don't really blame him. I am way to chicken to ask anyone to go with me though, I just know that I will be laughed at. Maybe I will just get one ticket for myself, but so much for not telling anyone huh?

My Big Girl!

We went thursday for Isabella's 18 month check up. She was such a good girl while we were there. She showed the doctor where her eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hair, and belly button were, and she did all of her animal sounds. She also got her MMR vaccine, and that is the last one until she is 4, yay!! She was such a trooper, she barely even cried for the shot. So that night we made her chocolate chip cookies as a special treat for being such a good girl.

Gulf Shores Trip

We had a great time this weekend in Gulf Shores. The first picture is Isabella playing with the pot holders in the condo. She kept sticking her hands inside of them. The second pic is of her loving the wind blowing in her face while we were driving. The third pic is of her playing in the fountain next to the pool. The last pic is after we got home on monday. She kept pointing to each barrette saying dis one (this one) until they were all in her hair.
We had a little sunscreen in the eyes issue on saturday. I would have never thought that a baby sunscreen would make her eye swell like that. But we got her cleaned up and the swelling went down, and we switched to a baby sunscreen that said tear free on it and Sunday was much better. She loved the pool, even though it took her a little while to get used to the water. Once she got used to it, she was having a great time.

She is Definitely Her Father's Daughter!!

Last night at dinner Isabella was eating and then she started playing with her food and her placemat. Well I asked her to take a bite. That little stinker looked right at me and picked up the plate and put it in her mouth. I had to bite my tongue not to laugh. Tony starts defending her, he says "well you didn't say what to take a bite of", whatever. He doesn't think she knew what she was doing, but I think he doesn't give her enough credit. She knows that the plate is not food!!

Isabella Pics

She is getting so big!!! I can't believe that she will be 18 months at the end of May. Where has the time gone. She is such a sweet little girl.

Zoo
We took Isabella to the zoo on saturday and she had a ball. Everything was a bunny. She pointed up at the giraffe and said bunny!! Oh well, that was the first animal she saw. We brought her wagon, but she insisted on walking almost the entire time. We all had a ball at the zoo. I will have to post some zoo pics later.

Some pics

The top one is our dining room. The second one is the living room, but it is dark but you get the idea. The third one is Isabella at the VooDoo game. The forth one is Isabella on her swing holding her ball. I will get Easter pics up soon.

It has been crazy lately!!!

Ok it has been a while since I posted anything, but life has been crazy lately. Here goes....
A Scare at Our House
Last thursday we were eating dinner at the table together. Isabella now has a seat at the table and she was sitting in her booster chair. Well she pushed off of the base of the table. The chair went falling backwards. Tony is closest to her, and thank God he moved quickly. He a hand on the chair just as it was hitting the window. The window shattered. If he had gotten to her half a second later she would have fallen through the window. Talk about give me a heart attack. She no longer sits in her booster chair at the table. We lowered her high chair as much as it goes, and it just barely fits under the table. So now she is still at the table but in her high chair, and if she pushes off again the worst she can do is roll the high chair backwards. I feel like a bad mom for not thinking about it beforehand. It could have been a very bad situation.
Potty Time
Isabella got a potty for easter (along with some other things). We are not potty training, she is too young for that I think, but she does know when she goes, and she knows that poo poo goes in the diaper so we figured that it was a good time to at least introduce her to it. It is like the newest toy!! At bath time we have her sit on it, and she thinks it is funny. I have some pictures that I will try to put up here later of her on her potty.
Easter Sunday
We ran around like crazy people as always on the holidays. We had breakfast out and Isabella was trying to share her toys with a baby at the next table. We went by my moms house and to Tony's aunt's house for an easter egg hunt. Isabella lost interest in the easter egg hunt when she saw the barbie car. Oh well maybe next year.
No more bottles
We took away Isabella's night time bottle. That was 2 nights of Hell!! It was awful. After that it slowly started to get better. Now she doesn't even take milk at bedtime. We read books and sing songs and then she goes to bed, and she is ok with that.
Painting
Tony and I painted the dining room and the living room a couple weekends ago. The living room is a chocolate brown (Tony kept saying it looked like chocolate milk while we were painting). The dining room is olive green. I love it, I think that the colors came out perfect. We still have to hang the new TV and then get rid of the old one, and change the molding, but it will be done soon. I do have pics that I will put up of the rooms painted.

Isabella pics!!!

The tupperware cabinet is one of her favorite places to be these days!!! The pic in the middle is where she has been eating dinner these days. Since she started cutting molars, the highchair is not where she wants to be, but oh well. I guess she will eat eventually!!!

My Little Daredevil!!

Isabella has learned to climb up on the hearth. She stands up and then claps for herself. Talk about scary!!!

We are halfway there!

Isabella is doing much better than she was last week. She had bronchialitis and a mild case of pnemonia, and that is what was causing her to loose everything in her tummy at night. They gave her a steroid shot and an antibiotic shot, and we saw improvements pretty quickly. She is doing much better now, in fact when she wakes up this morning she is off to daycare!! Tony on the other hand is still sick. He has been running fever for days, and it has been pretty high at times, this morning it was 104, so I am waiting for the dr office to open so that I can get him in this morning. I am taking off to take him there because in the condition he is in right now it is not safe for him to drive. I am taking my vitamin C and drinking plenty orange juice in the hopes that I don't catch what he has!!

Sick House

The whole house is sick right now. I am struggling through it, but Isabella has been very sick especially the last couple days with the coughing, and mucous. Poor girl coughs so hard she vomits at night. Thankfully the pediatrician called in some antibiotics for her, so hopefully those will help. Tony is sick too, but the worst of it for him is that his eye is really swollen and goopy(gross). So I found someone that would see him today. Hopefully this will put us all on the road to recovery. Now if I could only get a good night's sleep I would be doing great. I am a little bummed that we won't be able to take Isabella to the parades tomorrow, but it is much more important to get her healthy. I think she would have liked it though.

This is how yogurt should be eaten!!

This was taken last night. Isabella refused to let me feed her and didn't want to use her spoon. I guess the best way is to just dig in with your fingers!!!!!!!

OK, so I know I have been a slacker lately, and it has been over a month since I posted anything, but I promise I will do better!!! I will make my goal at least once a week.

My Poor Sick Baby!!

Isabella has RSV, or at least she could have it. Her pediatrician called it bronchialitis, and she said it could be RSV, but they don't test for it because they don't treat it any differently. She did perk up at the doctor's office, she always does that. They sent us home with a cute penguin nebulizer, and she needs breathing treatments 4 times a day, and an antibiotic because she has green stuff coming out of her nose. She is still coughing a lot, especially while sleeping, but she did get some sleep last night. She has only had a few breathing treatments so far, but I think they are helping. Glad we decided to bring her to the doctor yesterday! Gotta love daycare!

Isabella's Birthday Party

Aunt Lois did a wonderful job on Isabella's cake!!! It was yummy too!

Isabella was not happy about that cake. She did feed me a couple of bites, but with so many people around, she was not even willing to try it! She only smashed a little on her face when she got ticked because I wasn't taking her out of the highchair.
Daddy, Mommy and Isabella in the spacewalk. She didn't like the noise.
This one is us opening presents!!
It was a great party. We had a good time!

Do Something Nice for a Soldier!!

When putting together your list for Christmas cards put this address on your list:

A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Ave, NW
Washington, D.C. 20307-5001

This is a very easy way to brighten the day of a soldier!!!

I Made It!!!!!!!!!

Saturday Night was my first night away from Isabella, and I actually did pretty good. Tony and I left around 11:30am on saturday we went to the spa at Beau Rivage and had massages. Then after a small arguement with the hotel staff, they finally let us check into our room. We got ready for dinner. We had a wonderful dinner at Ruth's Chris which is inside the Hard Rock Casino. That was my first time there, and the food was yummy!! Then we spent some time watching the LSU game, well I did, Tony had it recording so he didn't want to watch. We did a little gambling (very little), and then we went to bed fairly early. I got to sleep in, which rarely happens, so it was very nice. Then on the way back we stopped and at breakfast at Cracker Barrel, and went shopping a little at the outlet mall. We got Isabella a pair of shoes, but I couldn't get them on her feet. They looked like they would fit though. Tony is going to return them this week, and we will try the next size up!! I was so anxious to see Isabella when we got home though. I missed her so much, but I didn't call!!! I left my phone in the room so that I wouldn't be tempted to call, I knew that Tony's mom would call him if something was wrong. I am pretty proud of myself!!

Halloween Pictures

It took me a couple of days to get them up here, but here is my pretty little princess on Halloween night!!!

Happy 11 Month Birthday Isabella!!!!

Isabella is 11 months old today!! I am also sharing some pictures from this weekend we had a baby shower at Tony's Nanny's house, and Isabella was in such a great mood. She has a little cold now though, so we have had a few rough nights, but that's ok.

I am Sick and Tired of these Stupid Recalls!!!!

Why are they recalling baby products because there are a few stupid parents out there who don't use common sense in using the products? The latest recall is the bumbo seat, in the event you don't know what this is, this is a picture of Isabella in hers at about 4 months old. Here is the link to the recall. Yes she is on the counter, and yes I put her in it on the table, but she was never ever unsupervised!! Then last week it was the infant cold medicines, that clearly state on the box for children under 2 contact doctor before giving it to them, and some parents are overdosing there children. Come on people a phone call to the doctor's office is free. I am so frustrated by this. My daughter is in daycare, so she gets colds, and sometimes a dose of cold medicine at night when she has a bad cold means the difference between a good nights sleep for her, and no sleep at all!! So yes I give her cold medicine, but I know through advice of the doctor how much she can have. The vast majority of parents do take the time to make sure they get the dosage right, so why are they being punished. They could have just put the medicines in the Pharmacy where you have to consult a pharmacist before being sold the medication to make sure you know how much to give your child!! It just makes me so mad that some people can't take a few minutes to ensure their children's safety. I feel so badly for those children, because horrible things happen when they get to much medicine!!

Bragging on My Baby!!

Before I get started, I have to say how 'bout them Saints!!! If they keep playing like this we still have a shot at the playoffs!
Isabella took her first step on September 29th, and has taken one or 2 steps a few times since then, but for the most part seemed more interested in crawling. Well last night she stood up and took 3 or 4 steps to Tony. So I got on the other side of Tony and she walked back and forth to each of us. She started off taking 3 or 4 steps, and by the time she was done she was taking 8 steps on her own. They were tiny baby steps, but it is a step in the right direction. I am so excited, and proud of my girl. She is growing up before my eyes.

Some New Isabella Pics

These were all taken this weekend. The first one is Isabella playing peek-a-boo under the ottoman. The second one is Isabella in her Cheerleader outfit, for the big game yesterday (I still believe, but it breaks my heart to see them play that way). The third one is a close up view of her new teeth, you can only see one really good but they are both there (that was a hard picture to take). Enjoy!!

And Then There Where Three!!!

Isabella cut her third tooth overnight last night, and the fourth one isn't very far behind. I guess I should have known when she got ticked off that I was trying to feel in her mouth, that something was coming soon. Poor baby was so restless overnight last night, she was moaning and groaning, and talking, and tossing and turning. She was so sleepy still this morning, and I had to bring her to daycare, but we can stay home tomorrow and catch up on some sleep. Needless to say I am exuasted from hearing this on the monitor all night, but I am so excited about this tooth. These front teeth are going to totally change her look once they come in all the way, but it will still be cute!!!!!!!

I am so proud of my little Pumpkin!!!!!!!

Well last week Isabella started standing on her own. She is doing better and better every day. Well Saturday she took her first step to mommy!!! And saturday was her 10 month birthday. I am sure she is only going to get better and better at it, but if she needs to get around she still crawls. My girl is growing up so fast, but I love every minute of it. Oh and she still hasn't cut any of those teeth, and this weekend she went on a hunger strike. She is refusing her solid foods. My poor baby her teeth must really be hurting her. It is funny though, because one day she is a complete crab and the next day she is chipper as can be. Oh well I give up, they may never cut!!!!!

Queen Crab!

Isabella is the queen of crabiness these days. Yesterday she was incredibly fussy, drooling like a faucet, so I am sure that some teeth are going to be cutting soon. We put her to bed, and a little while later we noticed a huge wet spot on the bed under her head (on the video monitor). Tony and I went into her room, he stuck his fingers in it to smell it (she has a cold, and we were worried it might be vomit), but it didn't smell. Well, we got a flashlight to get a good look, so I pulled Isabella down the bed, we turned on the light, and it was clear. Just a big puddle of drool. Well the new spot she settled into got full of drool too. We went to kiss her good night and the bed on both sides of her head was soaking wet with drool. Makes me worry that she is going to get dehydrated or something. Lord I hope those teeth cut soon, I am ready to get rid of this crab!!

Seriously???

Yesterday at work they boarded up the windows. They said it is because a lot of the workers and contractors are not here no fridays, but freak, it is not even a tropical depression yet. Let's board up the windows, it is going to rain this weekend!! At first I was a little concerned, but over the course of several days, this thing has not changed much. The computer models are showing it coming straight for us, but it just looks like we are going to get a bunch of rain this weekend. Ok, I am done playing meteorologist for now.

I Still Believe!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so we all saw that poor excuse for a football game yesterday, but I still believe that they can come back from this. I will not jump off of the bandwagon just yet (who am I kidding, I have been on that bandwagon through a lot worse games than this one!).
Isabella has 4 teeth that are working there way out right now. She was an incredible crab last week, but this weekend she seemed to be in a great mood, and not crabby at all. Who knows maybe they are stuck. Right now the tooth tally is still only 2 (bottom center).
Happy Monday!!

Crazy week (or 2) at our house!!!

Well all last week Isabella was sick, and could keep nothing down. Well sunday she finally started keeping food down, and now the last 2 days a little after midday, I get a phone call to go pick up Isabella because she has fever. Tuesday by the time I got her home it was gone, and yesterday her fever was lower when I got her home, but she still had fever. I imagine that at some point today I will get another one of those phone calls. I just want my healthy baby back!! The pediatrician keeps telling me it is a virus and it will get better soon, but my patience is wearing thin. On top of that I now have her virus (I am starting to feel better today even though I sound like a 13 year old boy going through puberty!), Tony is coming down with it, and Ms. Jane (Tony's mom) is getting sick too. Complaint over.
Go Saints Go!!! Tony told me last night that he hopes the game tonight is a close game, but that the Colts win. I told him not to come home because he couldn't watch the game with me (he thought I was joking). He says that if they win that everyone in the city is going to make a big deal about the Saints going to the superbowl. Hello, that is going to happen anyway. If he starts cheering for the Colts, he is in trouble though!! Ms. Jane will be over though, and I know she is on my side!!!!!!

Showing off my Baby!!

First of all Isabella had her 3 week post op check up for her ears, and the nurse practitioner said that they look great!! She also told me not to stress about getting water in her ears. She said that with her son all she does is fold the ear over and cover it before she pours water over his head in the bath, and the only time she uses ear protection is if they go swimming. She also asked me if she had been more vocal, which she definitely has. She asked if Isabella had started crawling or standing or walking since the surgery, and I never associated her ears with these things, but it makes sense. I am certainly more clumsy when my head is congested.
My Isabella may never crawl, but she is currently pulling up on everything, cruising the coffee table, toybox, etc, and this week she started walking while holding on to fingers. I am so excited to see her do new things. Click here if you want to see my peanut walking!!

Dean! Dean! Dean!

Ok, this scares the crap out of me!!! I am not wishing this on anyone, but boy do I hope that this thing keeps heading in the direction of Texas.

My Poor Sick Baby!

Isabella is getting over a stomach virus. I think she is feeling a little better today, but yesterday she still wasn't eating very well. Oh and when we went to the doctor on saturday Isabella weighed in at a petite 21 lbs 5 oz; however, that was with all of her clothes on so I am subtracting half a pound. That still puts her pretty close to 21 lbs. Oh and she may never crawl. Everytime someone gets her on the floor there are about 10 toys around her, so there is always something in her reach. Yesterday she was playing with these stackable cups that you put together and they make balls, and she kept rolling them out of her reach. She really wanted that green one, she got on her hands and knees and stared at it for a minute until the yellow one caught her eye. That one was in her reach, so she chose the yellow.
Isabella's ears seem to be doing well. The pediatrician said that they look great. We go back next week to the ENT for a 3 week check up. I am still working on perfecting washing her hair without getting water in her ears, but I am getting better. She had started to get a little bit of cradle cap and I think it is from me not rinsing the shampoo out of her hair completely. I am doing a much better job now, and cradle cap is gone!! Yay!!!!

Isabella is doing great after her surgery!!

Yesterday Isabella's surgery to get tubes in her ears was scheduled for 7:30am. They didn't take her from us until 7:53am and considering that she hadn't had any food since 7:00pm the night before she was doing great. She didn't cry when the nurse took her from me. We watched them walk away with her, and I started crying. We went to the waiting room, where I cried and paced the floors until the dr came out for us (less than 10 minutes later). He told us about her surgery and then we had to go back and wait for another 10 minutes in the waiting room until she came out of the anesthesia. When we went back to see her she was snuggled up to one of the nurses. I took her and she did start to cry a little when she saw Tony pouring the formula into the bottle, but she must have been so hungry. She quickly took about 5 oz of her bottle, and then we changed her and they let us leave. We were out of there by 9:00 am. I am so relieved that this is over.

Now my newest issue is that she is starting to like table food more and baby food less. I just bought a ton of food and I am determined to use it up!!

Last weekend!!

I know I am a little behind, but it has been a crazy week for me. Last friday Tony and I went to the Tim Mcgraw/Faith Hill concert in Biloxi and it was awesome. Click here if you want to look at the awesome photos and video's that Tony took. Oh and I got to touch Tim Mcgraw (it was awesome). We had a great time!!! Oh, and I wasn't even at the lafayette show, so it wasn't me!

A Couple of Eventful Days!!

Saturday. We saw my cousin Michelle's baby Sidney who is 2 months old. He is adorable!! He is so long and solid, I expected him to be light as a feather after carrying around my little chunky monkey, but he wasn't. Saturday night we went to Port of Call with some friends, and then we went swimming. We had a lot of fun even though we couldn't stay as late as everyone else, because Isabella is up and ready to go at 5:30!! (Although she slept until 6:00 the last 2 mornings!! Yay!!)
Sunday. We went have breakfast (brunch) at Copelands with my Mom, Mr. Steve and Scott for Mr. Steve's birthday. It was yummy; I had banana foster french toast. Later that day Tony, Isabella and I went to the grocery store, and she was in such a good mood. She was talking the whole time, and very loudly (she did not get that volume from me!!). Isabella cut her second tooth on sunday. Apparently sunday is the day for cutting teeth at my house. Hopefully we have at least a few weeks of happy baby before she starts cutting the top two.
Monday. We went to the ENT, and he said that Isabella needs tubes. The surgery is scheduled for August 2nd (next thursday). I am so terrified, but I am trying to focus on the end result.
At Isabella's dr appointment friday I convinced the dr to try reflux medicine for all of Isabella's vomitting episodes because it was happening almost daily. She has been on pepcid since saturday morning, and no vomitting since friday. (I have my fingers crossed and I am knocking on wood.) Hopefully she will be feeling much better soon.

Isabella's Little Milestone

I don't know if this counts as a milestone or not, but I am excited none the less. Last night Isabella pulled herself up for the first time. Well she could only get to her knees, but it was still exciting. I think Tony caught some of it on video, and if he did than I will definitely post a link on here for you to see.
Oh, and if you are keeping track Isabella just refuses to cut that second tooth. She is so cranky, all of the time! The fun thing is that it won't be very long until she starts cutting the top 2, so I don't think we will get much of a break after this second tooth breaks through. Oh well, I am still excited about her with all of those little teeth.

It is here!!!

I am so excited. Isabella cut her first tooth yesterday. She is still a little cranky though because she is still working on tooth #2. It is on the bottom. Tony and I feel in her mouth all of the time to check on those teeth, and I was beginning to think that she was going to be toothless forever. Last night when I felt inside her mouth it felt weird. So Tony looked in there and he could see the top of the tooth (she did not like that one bit). So we calmed her down and fed her the nighttime bottle. When she was asleep, I felt again and I could definitely feel the ridges on the top of the tooth. I am so excited, and I just can't wait until it is all the way out and you can actually see it good. She is going to be so cute with little toothies.

Las Vegas Trip

Isabella was a very good girl on the plane rides, she did a lot of sleeping, and we entertained her with toys the rest of the time. It was very hot so we did some walking outside, but we tried to stay inside casino's as much as possible to keep cool. While we were there we saw Blue Man Group and Mamma Mia and enjoyed them both very much. We only did a little gambling. We lost all of $12. I guess I would rather eat good food and see the sites!! There was a lion exibit inside of our hotel that was really cool. We got there at feeding time, and they put raw ground meat on the glass and the lions came right up to eat the meat off of the glass. We really had a good time.

The first picture is the MGM grand which is where we stayed at. It was very nice, and I don't think that I have ever been to a hotel that had a pillowtop mattress. The tiger exihibit was at a different casino, the Mirage I think. The rest of the pictures are silly pics, one of me with one of the guys from blue man group, one of Isabella on the streets of Vegas, and one of Tony grabbing a pair of boobs that were hanging from the wall inside one of the casinos. When I get a chance, I will put a link to the rest of the pics for you to see.
